HI-HOG
CROWDING TUB WITH 7′ STRAIGHT PANEL

Cattle tubs are available in a wide range of configurations because the facilities they need to operate in are not all the same. The visual relationship between the crowding tub and the working alley is critically important. From the viewpoint of the cattle in the crowding tub your cattle should see clearly at least one body length up the working alley. If the cattle cannot see into the alley or there is something in the alley that distracts the cattle your livestock will hesitate or refuse to enter the working alley without added pressure and stress. You will note in the attached design that care has been taken to ensure the first section of the alley is arranged to provide clear visibility into the alley from the cattle crowding tub.

Efficient cattle handling is largely dependent on the design of your crowding tub. The funnel crowding tub is the most efficient of our crowding tub solutions. The half-circle version of the funnel tub provides the best of the funnel solution because it will turn the cattle 180° to return your cattle to where they came from.

CROWDING TUB

The value of a safe, reliable and efficient crowding tub should not be overlooked. The crowding tub is critical to the overall efficiency of the handling system yet many crowding tubs fail to consider the challenges of the working tub environment. The crowding tub is often filled with anxious livestock and the ground is often slippery and uneven. This creates a dangerous environment both to your livestock and to you the handler.
